On a normal day, sure. But if you've gotten up at 2 or 3am to make a flight, and had breakfast, you don't want to eat breakfast again 6+ hours later.
Or if on a connecting itinerary where one has already had breakfast on board, only to be served breakfast again at the lounge at 1045am before an eastbound flight that arrives in the evening. While I’m all about late morning/afternoon breakfast (and will always indulge in an afternoon weekend brunch) on the ground and outside the airport, when it comes to lounges and flights, the earlier the lunch/dinner menu comes out, the better.
