I just started flying Alaska and its partners more this year and was shocked that I need to call in to confirm schedule changes on partner flights booked through Alaska. With United I can just click a button in the app to confirm. In general the United app is just far superior to every other airline app I've used (have used Alaska, AA, Jetblue, JAL, and Asiana's recently).
After another failure today, I rescind my prior comment. Hire the entire UA team
For what it's worth, I also agree UA's app is the best out of all the US-based airlines
