UA is not heading back to JFK until 2027, based on current estimation, around 18 months out. Need the current T7 to be demolished, and additonal gates for the new T6 terminals are built. Phase 1 for T6 does not have allocations for UA.
I also wouldn't bank all flights in and out of JFK to be SFO solely.
That's not the point. UA flyers can earn points on B6 flights now and they will be bookable on the UA site early next year so that option already exists. B6 FFers are also already getting tiles towards Mosaic status on UA flights which opens up the option for those people to fly SFO-EWR or any other route (excluding a handful of EWR flights--AUA/CUN/LAX/LAS/PUJ)--and still benefit. Reciprocal elite benefits are also coming early next year.
