How easy is it to get out then back in, assuming our checked baggage will be auto loaded onto the next flight so will just just have a small cabin bag to carry about
I was thinking more about boarding passes to get back in, will the UK to Australia pass work?
We just think the option to get out a bit even if for a few hours will be nice, same coming back too
Thanks
Hi,
Welcome to flyertalk.
You will need to enter hong kong ( which with a British passport and on a onward ticket will be straight forward). You will get 2 boarding passes at LHR, one for LHR to HKG and one for HKG to Australia. Immigration is generally quick
You can take the airport express to Hong Kong Station, take the star ferry etc then airport express back to the airport
You will have security ( using your HKG-Australia boarding pass) then exit immigration then you are back into the departures area
Regards
