Really not much to say here other than Aspen and Vail are highly seasonal tourist driven routes, and flight schedules for all airlines are going to vary widely depending on the season. September to mid-December is the off-season and AA's schedules to ASE and EGE reflect that. It makes no sense for AA to serve Colorado ski towns from all of its hubs in the off season when the traffic isn't there.

Starting in December through early April you will find nonstop service from LAX, PHX, CLT, ORD, and even JFK and MIA (to EGE).
