Just flew back PEK-CDG in J (almost 80% of my intercon flights are between CDG and PEK/PVG lol)

The feeling on board was .. strange: I had the impression that some cabin crew were not attended at all and did not have any passion for work. Exactly on the opposite, the purser (or the cabin manager) was really helpful.

So the flight departures at mid-night in Beijing. Due to business all day long I was pretty tired and just want finish the dinner quickly and go sleep. Therefore I asked the cabin crew who was in charge our sector, "May I get the dinner including main dish as the first one, so that I could have more time to sleep?" The cabin crew refused: we will do our best, however you don't have this kind of priority.
I was feeling utmost strange: it is not common that I get refused on this kind of "small" request, even regardless of status. It is pretty common (at least on other airlines) to serve certain passengers their meal earlier, if they wish to do so. (At least with Lufthansa, Air China, Singapore Airlines as well as AF/KL it works well, even only on short haul flights), and that's why I was pretty confused about this rejection.

Maybe noticed my disappointment, the cabin manager came and asked whether he could do anything for me. I repeat the same request and he said: yes it's fully ok, we will do that. And finally, I got my meal at first and could have more time to sleep - happy ending.

And by the way: it was a mess at arrival in CDG: cabin announcement we arrive at Hall K, but instead at Hall M, and directly after disembarking there were police officers at jet-bridge making document check.
