You might get a better response if you were a little more transparent, i.e.
a) which academic institution are you attached to?
b) what's the purpose of the research? (i.e. part of a Masters degree, PhD etc)
c) and as has already been mentioned upthread, what you will do with the data that you obtain.
From my own perspective, if you provide all that, then I'd consider helping. Otherwise not.
