Exactly this. I never flew the BA NQY flight in the end due to timing changes and (I think) arbitrary season shortening with the last few weeks cancelled after I'd finally managed to book something that made sense as an onward connecting flight. It was like they'd gone out of their way to make the service as badly designed as possible to justify the infamous "I don't see BA as an airline that flies to places like Newquay" comment [accurate citation needed...]
