Interesting offer. The last time I read up on the PC options from the AA cards, I was left with the impression that PC options would treat TY points cards and AA cards as mutually exclusive families. I am wondering what would happen if you went the ATT route and then looked for a product change down the road (It is actually a TY point card too). Although, the Strata Elite option would definitely have me looking at the credits very closely and MAYBE, POSSIBLY move the needle. The miles up does also offer a no AF landing spot that should not be overlooked, but if you plan on grabbing another AA card soon, I would not want to be caught holding more than 1 or 2 when I apply. Let us know what you do and if you are able to get a second PC that makes more sense down the road.
I'll be trying to convert my recently converted AT&T card (originally an AA Platinum Select) into a Custom Cash Card. I'm planning on waiting for a cycle to pass as I am not certain how often you can product change Citibank cards unlike Chase. I product changed a Marriott card twice within a week to get the Ritz-Carlton card.
Not that it matters but does anyone know if the account number changes from the AT&T card when going into a CCC/DC like how it has to when going from an AA Centric card to a non AA card?
