I get where you're coming from, and it's an interesting idea - perhaps one to float to Aer Lingus. Does any airline do this?

However, I imagine they will see it as losing €30 or €50 or whatever the going rate is for a hold bag!

The whole thing around bags is very well designed to maximise revenue as it is at most airlines. Anyway, we're so far off topic in this thread which is about Lounges...
