That's why I never do non-refundable rate for BRG unless I'm totally happy with the original rate.
Yeah usually for other chains this is fine, but IHG pretty much forces you to book "lowest available rate" which is 99.99% of the time is a non-refundable rate without breakfast. ( i have seen sometimes offers made other rates cheaper). I tend to avoid IHG for BRG at the moment.
