The EF issue seems mostly fixed, in that seat maps are now visible again at T-24 for BA flights.

However, my own experience is that they do not remain available right up until departure as they once did. At some point prior to departure (I suspect at check-in close, but haven't verified that) EF will start returning an error. Which is a little frustrating if you want to check whether a seat block has remained in place.
