Just landed in PVG. Overall HO very pleasant. Nice new cabins with decent seats. Foot cubby a decent size (approx 45cm width) and bed comfy in flat mode. Duvet decent but no mattress pad/extra duvet for underneath (this could be improved).

Service was good but not as good as CX/SQ/JL/NH etc. was more akin to a European airline. They could have come back and proactively asked for more drinks orders etc. One thing I did notice however was they were really good with toilet cleaning. The toilets were spotless and they were straight in after every guest that left to clean up. Very impressive.

Food was fairly tasty. I had some Korean style beef dish with rice after departure and it was a set chicken ciabatta before landing. Wasn’t exactly fine dining but did taste good. Unfortunately I didn’t check out the alcohol section so can’t comment on that.

Overall I would say it was a good experience. Think better than BA/LH but not as good as QR/CX.
