Currently in the E Gates F lounge. Had some dinner, was nice, the pumpkin soup and the beef tenderloin. Beef was well cooked (medium rare) and some winter veggies on the side. A solid 7/10.
Then asked if they could make a Manhattan at the bar - not something massively complicated I thought. However no rye whisky, only bourbon. To their credit however, the walked me through to the whisky bar in the Senator lounge, we located some rye, and then made the cocktail back in the F lounge. However no-one had any clue on the difference between rye and bourbon - nor even any of the super expensive malts that they had in the F lounge. Staff are all absolutely lovely, super happy to help, but just don't know much. Am I expecting too much?
