Yes but the legacy AI 77Ws too dont have crew rest and AI blocks 6J seats. Also only 4 788s have crew rest and when these crew rest 788s are not put on SYD/MEL, 2 J seats are blocked. When 788s were on IAD then 4J seats were blocked. So what I'm trying to say is that lack of crew rest is not a reason that these planes cannot fly to the US. On the other hand as per some sources because they were never meant to fly ULH, the engines were derated to save on maintenance cost. So to make them eligible for ULH, AI would have to pay Boeing some money and upgrade the software so that engines can take off with max thrust.
