WAMOs is just joining the Air NZ fleet and will be flying that route at times according to rumours etc. The NZ 777s have likely been pulled off NRT to fly elsewhere in the network. I haven’t looked where. And when do you have to make a decision about the change? If you’re going to change aircraft/days and get the best seat you might as well do it earlier so you can beat everyone else, cause those other planes will also be booking up seats.

I’m back there in June next year but haven’t booked flights yet. Might see what planes are on the routes up, otherwise I’ll go play on some other airlines to get there.
