We stayed in a Suite at both properties. The Ritz though it's a little dated, but felt much more luxurious. The suite layout worked fantastic for me.
The W was meh, it felt cheapish (IKEA style). Felt tight in a suite. There was this horrible odor that came out of the vents from time to time as well.
I had two 5 night reservations at the W. I couldn't continue and moved to the Ritz which I wish we stayed for the full 10 nights there (even though we don't have breakfast). Connectivity to the metro too was a big plus for the Ritz.
