This is a bit OT, but also a bit on-topic... LOL
Many travelers (sometimes, me included) always remove those long tags on the handles but forget to remove that rectangular strip adhered on the body of the bag. I sometimes see bags with multiple of those still on the bag, especially the aluminum ones, or the shiny polycarbonates. Do the bag loaders scan all of these to find out where the bag is supposed to go?
Also, I wonder if at some point in the future, bag stickers and bags themselves will have RFID (or whatever) signal to determine their origin and destination. I notice that bag stickers at HKIA and the small ones on USPS packages have a silver strip at the back when you peel the adhesive. I also have Rimowa's and if you hold your iPhone close to it, it sends an RFID signal.
