If you only have one day, out of all the options, I think WA is probably the best. You get a great view of the new and old Shanghai. Beautiful hotel. Walking distance to Yu Garden.

I don’t get why the poster above say the Bund is not historical. It’s has one of the best collection of Art Deco buildings in the world. The hotel itself is a historical building.
