My mom once flew YYZ-ABE (on AC Express, of course), maybe in the 1990’s or early 2000s, and dropped a bag on the self drop belt - which was how the process was on those days. Only it wasn’t one she checked, so no tag or the stickies on it.

amazingly, somehow showed up in ABE, and was wondering how tha happened. Now that it is mentioned up here, maybe it was someone who was able to use her name on the ID tag to track it to her and her itinerary.
