I am also fairly certain SeatGuru is no longer being updated, but I could be wrong. Aerolopa is your best resource.
The question I have on this thread is why does the hyperlink in the Wiki refer to the 787-9 with Club Suites and it goes to the 787-8 Aerolopa page when clicked?
No worries, I'm Mr. Pedantic at my job, so happy to take on any advice to keep everyone happy here!
I'd never heard of Aerolopa until I started searching for information about the back row recline in economy (which I'm led to believe is the same as every other seats on the 787s thanks to the text on the Aerolopa pages). SeatGuru has updated the plane to be a 787-9, so I assume it's being updated by someone. I'm not entirely sure when the plane was switched, but I booked it in May and it was definitely a 787-8 at that point.
Not sure about how the 787s handle the desert heat - the earlier flights have been 777s the last 2-3 years at least (Heathrow and Gatwick). I assume the switch from the 787-8 to the 787-9 has come about after the frequency of the earlier Heathrow one was announced to be going up to 6 times a week instead of 3 (with the 3 Gatwick flights per week being ditched).
