No doubt someone with a more recent stay will be along soon but I see no reason to stay here now the RC has opened. There are better non-Marriott choices in Bangkok, but if you’re wedded to Bonvoy I much preferred my stay at the RC earlier this year to the St. Regis. If you are only looking at Bonvoy, I’d also check the premium of RC over SGS and if it’s anything more than a modest premium I’d be tempted to take SGS. I might even take SGS over St. Regis at the same price.
I would take SGS or Athenee over STR at the same price. The room design of both are more appealing to me, and my experience is that the STR has the worst service of those three. I can’t comment on the RC as I haven’t stated there yet.
