At least directly I can confirm that Monarch Money performed this update. A poster on reddit confirmed the same change happened for Copilot Money, and another user confirmed it linking their SYW Mastercard to Fidelity.

For all of those hoping that the card would switch to earning TYP, rejoice!

Separate note: Earning TYP is not the only positive change. The new card will count the $10,000 for 5x on gas and 3x on restaurants and grocery as separate caps, rather than one combined $10K cap as it is now, and 2x points now includes department stores and drugstores.

I doubt the SYW points will carry over given the T&C we have seen in the letters that said "new rewards program will start Nov 3rd" and that Sears/Transformco owns the SYW points.

I had earlier mentioned that Sears apparently had a 2 year extension option on the SYW MC deal with Citi. That must not have been "no strings attached", the terms aren't public but my guess is that Citi gave the $400M+ immediately (something like $425M total) for the renewal to provide Sears with immediate liquidity, and the 2yr extension option must have had some strings attached (probably a direct $$$ amt Sears would have to pay to option the extension).
I wonder with the switch if we'll get $10,000 per category for November-December and then resetting back in January. I maxed out my bonus categories in May and have just been getting 1% back since then.

The 7-11 by me just finally got rid of their $4.95 gift cards and replaced them all with $5.95 ones. Now I'm losing $0.94 on each buy!

Also, I wouldn’t worry about current SYW balances. There’s no indication SYW Rewards are being discontinued, just the cards aren’t going to be part of the rewards program anymore. Your SYW account will continue on.
