I have an update. I just checked in at HND T3, and the JGC and J check-in was back to the old (nicer) setup. The spot where I checked in last time (mentioned above) was being used for Y and PY check-in this time, so only Y pax were being pushed to the row of kiosks in front of that counter. I don't know why it changed back. Or maybe JL switches around the position of the various check-in counters at different times of the day? (Last time, it was morning when I checked in.) In any event, it was a pleasant surprise.
