Poor experience a FCL A in ZRH yesterday. Ordered the beef filet - what arrived was a maybe 2cm thick steak (at least it was medium-rare as ordered) - too tired, so forgot to take a photo. Only a horrible Zweigelt and a mediocre Porpora (merlot) on offer. They were out of whatever French red. Since they don't actually have a wine menu, I have no idea what it could have been. The waiter had no idea about wines, so couldn't advise on a choice.
Only thing that was actually great was discovering the Macardo Swiss single-malt "Chapter 1 - The Slightly Smoky": cask strength, only 940 bottles. If you like slightly peaty sherry-bombs, this is worth a try! Retails for CHF146, so well-priced for the FCL IMHO.

No Wine list & Staff who have no idea about Wines is crafty since we cannot see just how cheap they are being, a peep at the Champagnes does provide a clue
