Well, the problem could also be seen as the failure to have backup crew and aircraft to step in if required. BA seems to be generally overstretched on both counts currently. Being a night stop flight inevitably causes knock-on issues the following day as very many passengers on the early morning return are on connecting itineraries. Today was particularly tough due to half term starting and I imagine quite expensive for BA.
