Checking out from a 6 night stay today

The bad: standard room is extremely basic. Slightly larger than a business hotel for 5x the price. Constant sirens with terrible noise insulation. Location is terrible. Bus runs less frequently than the much fancier for half the price Sheraton Miyako, and doesn't even pick you up or drop you off at a very convenient place at all (at least 5 min walk from station gates). 100% of the homeless people I've seen in Japan are living under the hotel. Hotel is very dated. Also, the room techology is terrible: the master light next to the bed always turns on the bathroom light when making any choice (such as night light), but only the switch at the front door can turn it back off...

The ugly: this hotel plays games with the AC, which is a huge no-no to me. You can't set to cool, only auto, and it will not kick on for days, while lying about current temp. I woke up covered head to toe in sweat, but the thermostat said the room was still set to 20, and still was 20. I turned it down to 19.5 then right back up to 20, and it then ran for many hours and got the room much cooler, while still saying the current temp was 20 the entire time. Absolutely not something I should have to deal with at a $500 a night hotel
