locked out of real time bidding process
Had a strange experience last week. My family was travelling home SEA-CPH and I had split my mom out from the rest of the group in order to be able to bid on a business upgrade for her. Had to talk to customerservice to do this, and despite long wait times that part went relatively smoothly.
However, at T-24, her bid changed to a flat out "you lost the bidding". No option to put in a new live bid. Nothing. Talked to customer service who were completely useless - no help or explanation there. I still had access to the booking of the rest of the group - and to them, the option to bit on upgrade was still available.
Has anyone experienced something like this before? Or have a clue what could be wrong.
I kick myself for not checking seats.aero to check for seat availability, but I doubt business class was full because the other itinerary still had the option to put in a bid, and the minimum bid was ~$700.
