Now having recently stayed there (on an AX FHR reservation) ... my upgraded room was lovely. It was one of the nicer Waikiki rooms I've ever had, and I've been in dozens of Waikiki hotels, including the (now) Marriott luxury properties. The pool remains closed, the spa and gym are open, and the entry level and lobby level are a bit confusing, as what floors you can access with the elevators during construction vary - when I arrived, you took an elevator from street level to lobby level (dedicated elevator bank) and then had to transfer elevators from the lobby level. Dining was decent - access to the dining room is via the Spa level, then down an emergency exit staircase down one flight. The included breakfast was quite substantial with a myriad of nice choices. Staff was lovely.
