ultimately Chase is paying me the benefit and is the final arbiter of a valid purchase. It's fine if they delegate to Open Table as long as there is no air between them. But Open Table also does not provide a single updated list.
Say the next sixty days I'll be in ten cities with eligible restaurants and I want to see what my options are in one place. Or maybe a restaurant in another city is so appealing it's worth a trip on its own.
