At the moment I'm contemplating whether to stay here (I will be Platinum by the end of this year) or the Radisson for a 2-night stay in January.

The Radisson is around 300 QAR cheaper and as a VIP I'd get free breakfast and a solid upgrade, but the location/view is much worse than the Swissotel Corniche (right next to a major intersection on the C Ring Road).

Honestly, these pics are swinging me towards the Swissotel and hopefully the lounge will be fully functional by then. I'll be able to take breakfast in the lounge and I'm not the sort who can eat that much in the mornings anyway (omelette plus lots of coffee will do me).
