Phoned up Cathay. New policy is at check in only. Wouldn't take the number over the phone. Confirmed it can't be added on the website. Said it was to prevent "mistakes" or "fraud".

What is this about?
Too many scammers.

Dont know why people have to keep changing their ff number at gate/checkin/whatever
