The first paragraph of your comment sounds racist, as does the second. Unbelievable.

The OP is entitled to the best service wherever he/she is from and wherever CX is operating from I’d expect the same Cathay service. Some people expect a meal, some people expect to sleep. It depends on many factors including work patterns, time zone they have flown from originally, timezone they are going to, whether they are flying for a special occasion (imagine if it was their first time flying business class for a special occasion). It’s not for us to judge this. If they didn’t enjoy it, they didn’t enjoy it.
