For what it's worth, I am tired of the quarterly credit so I downgraded my Surpass to the free one.
Hilton high end properties are becoming worse and worse from a points redemption perspective (see other threads in this forum) to the point where pure points are worthless, but FNCs are still valuable.
Going to wait until right before anniversary (mid next year) to see if FNCs are still good, and if so will upgrade to an Aspire.

The Aspire TOCs say: "You are only eligible to receive the Annual Free Night Reward once per year of Card Membership, and you are only able to receive this benefit with an upgrade to the Hilton Honors Aspire Card one time." Now I'm not sure if this is once per card or once per member (hoping it's the former as I already did Aspire -> Free -> Aspire and got a cert). Will update...
