I don't understand why 99% would ever xfer UR to WN as WN points are SO EASY to get ~ every 2 years via credit cards.

A WN credit card(s) also gets you a free bag and ( depending on the card) possible better seats, which can be selected when booking as well as companion pass.

UR transferred to WN do not count towards companion pass.
