I don't know anything about starting from Canada but I can tell you there are flights to Paro (PBH) from DXB, HKG, BKK, SIN.

Also from KTM if you wanted to add a trip Nepal, with KTM having many more connections eg from IST, NRT, KUL, and the usual Middle-east

Also Bhutan Airlines in J between KTM and PBH is great service and great views of the Himalayas if you sit on the correct side
