It was a very experienced agent and not a mistake. Bear in mind I GUF’d a revenue booking and not a reward booking. Since the ticket including stopover was clearly able to be purchased then they would look silly telling me it’s against IATA rules. The problem I had was finding an AA flight available in A class under the new POS rules.
