Yes, but you still shouldn't have to put in your FF# again, it should be sent (and if you don't do it as guest it gets overwritten)

I don't seem to have that problem. I've always just added the trip to my BA account (either in the app or on the website) using the BA confirmation number and it has kept my AA info and status. So far no issues with slecting seats or the FF number reverting back to BA.
I haven't had an issue with it overwriting it, just if the # isn't there, which is happening on every new reservation that I make.
