No, they don't map to specific fare classes and they don't have inventory limits. For TATL flights, "Extra" fares will just be refundable fare variants which usually have an R in sixth position of fare basis code (although H/U/X can also be used). The "Classic" non-refundable fare variants will usually have an 'N' there. I suppose if there is only J bucket inventory left on a route, there would only be "Extra" offerings as there don't seem to be non-refundable variants of J fares on TATL routes. Fares from certain origins (like TPE, SIN, and TLV) only have refundable fare filings (long-haul international fare filings are asymmetric and depend on point of origin), but they haven't adopted the Classic/Extra branding from these origins.
