Garner Hotel Istanbul - Airport Arnavutkoy
What is your Priority Club status? Diamond
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? It was fine for somewhere to rest our heads after a late flight before heading into town the following morning.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest entry level and received an upgrade to a premium room.
How are the rooms? Newly refurbished by the look of things. Plenty of storage space, mini fridge with bottles of water, safe, comfortable bed, two armchairs and a squidgy pouffe, freestanding table rather than a desk, kettle with teabags and coffee sachets. Shower, no bath, Dove toiletries. Slippers, no robes. This was our first time at a Garner hotel and we were pleasantly surprised.
How is the exec. lounge? NA
What was good and what was bad? Good - our flight arrived at 12.45am and this hotel was a nine minute cab ride away. Staff were super friendly. Some local items on the breakfast buffet inc. rose jam and tahini. Proactively offered late checkout, though we didn’t need it. Easy 5 minute bus ride to the metro for onward travel to Taksim. Flavoured water and sweet treats available all day in reception.

Bad - juice at breakfast costs extra. Hot breakfast items included chicken nuggets and fries, how odd. Airport shuttle was discontinued between us booking and staying.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? We spent €40 on our room, better than wasting €166 on the IC, where we were spending the rest of our holibobs, much closer to the airport too. We would be happy to return if our next flight to IST was scheduled to arrive after midnight.
