The smoked duck was tender with a decent sauce. Grilled red snapper somehow managed to retain some crispy skin and flakey, moist flesh. The tiramisu was ok but let down by its size.
Mushroom starter was presented well, light and tasty. The noodles look dry but the chicken must have been brined because it hadn’t dried out at all. Dessert was alright.
We had the same menu on yesterday's BA8 - photos below of the dishes not shown but to be honest I found the catering a bit underwhelming and a bit like Cape Town where you get used to excellent food to find the onboard catering to be lacking. The soup was very bland, the snapper itself was good but everything else needed more sauce. The tuna starter on the second meal was the best thing served - very good. The noodles again I thought were dry and desperately needing a sauce although as noted the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. Other half had the beef despite by warnings which as predictably like shoe leather. The service was excellent as on the outbound, and also as on the outbound didn't go hungry between the meal services and the club kitchen seemed well stocked.
