I have flown on Westjet from YYC to ICN, my observations:
1. The sky priority check in is completely messed up in YYC - it took over 2 hours to check in with just 2 people assisting, some people ended up missing other flights.
2. The kiosk check-in did not work at least for us with US passports and it failed to even check-in or issue boarding passes
3. The baggage is only 23 kg / 50 lb and they were very strict forcing us to repack just 2 kg over!
4. There is no business class security line
5. Lounge was not available
6. The 787 itself was good, clean lie-flat seats
7. The special meals were NOT good - terrible for such a long flight.
Given only 20% MQD and no bonus etc., will not recommend traveling Westjet for long haul, will pay $500 more to go on Korean or KL/AF/VS or just DL with their 767s!
