My "brand standards" was not in reference to booze, just to everything. Like you're not going to have $50 lobster plates in a domestic MLL in YYZ and $0.05 boxes of cereal in YYC. There's some level they want to maintain, but it seems to be up to the local manager to make it happen. I also recall chatting with the YQR manager many years ago, and she was really excited at the reception certain cold sandwiches were getting, and that she really had to push to be able to stock them.
Though for the longest longest longest time, YYZ MLLs did not stock spiced rum, while
every other MLL in Canada did. That wasn't even province-to-province. YOW had it.
