Some things I’ve enjoyed seeing;
. Both white temples (one in North Pattaya and one more toward Ma Prachan reservoir)
. Wat Hua Yai and several other great temples in that area; one enormous temple complex with a long name I can’t remember Wat Yan-something, the turtle 🐢 temple, the Chinese temple / museum in that same area. Laser etched Buddha
. Around Si Racha that gigantic Thai Chinese temple, the Buddha Hell Garden, the Skywalk.
I’m sure I’ve left a lot out. But I’m a temple addict and always interested in visiting ones having unique features.
just 4 of the many temples in this area:
Na Ja Sa Tai Chue Shrine, one of the largest and most spectacular chinese temple in Thailand in Angsila, part of Chonburi town (also known as Wat Thep Phuttaram)
nearby from the above
Wat Saen Suk or Wang Saen Suk with sculptures from Buddhist Hell in Bangsaen...also called "Hell-temple"
Wat Tham Khao Prathun, a temple in the djungle with cave (boats in the cave during raining season) and a trail on a nearby hill
Wat Namtok Thammarat, huge area with temples, statues, lakes etc. looks like someone wanted to build a business for (chinese) tourist groups, but business failed and everything is in decay
