It’s really annoying when you move around flights cancel/rebook, etc. Apple would add entries for EVERYTHING.
They unfortunately didn’t add features where an AA cancellation or modification would change your calendar.
In order to get this working I had to use the following hack on my iPhone. (Probably works on macOS as well)
Go to Settings -> Apps -> American Airlines
Click on Calendars - It may already show 'full access'
Change it to 'no access'.
Change it back to 'full access'
Now open the AA app, and it will ask you to confirm full calendar access.
Now the events are automatically picked up by Siri when you open the calendar. You still have to manually choose to accept the 'Siri Suggestion'.
I don't know if flight changes or other dynamics are automatically pushed to ical.
