When you land in ATL, you'll be in F. You'll go through immigration (Global Entry helps a lot here), you'll get bags and go through customs. Then you'll have to go through security (to make sure you didn't take a knife out of your checked bag) if you are connecting to domestic. You can take the train to your gate. I don't know if you can check bags to Delta there (behind security). BUT you can leave the secure area and go out to the F terminal and check delta bags there (even for domestic travel) and then go back through security and take the train to your gate (A-E concourses)
Why would you go through Immigration and Customs at ATL after having gone through them at the U.S. preclearance facility at AUH?
