Partial Downgrade Lufthansa Award Booking

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

A few months ago I've booked an award flight in C via Miles and More from Zurich to Victoria Falls for April 2026 for about 60K + fees:
ZRH-JNB operated by LX
JNB-VFA operated by SA

2 days ago I received an email saying that I had been downgraded on the 2nd leg.
While I partially don't mind flying in eco for a few hours, I believe that the ticket should not cost the same.
We've got all the trip planned so I won't like to fly on another day and for some reason the JNB-VFA flight seems to be fully booked in business.
After reading the forum, I have unfortunately not found a partial downgrade scenario.
According to EU 261 I could be entitled to compensation.
Am I correct in that it would be (of the short haul) 30% as it's less than 1500km or should the total trip length be considered, meaning 70%?

I'm SEN and have contacted Lufthansa who has mentioned that I need to contact South African.

What do you think?

Thanks a lot
