I'm currently booked on a Reward Flight Saver so maybe no tax difference? If you have a single booking you only pay one cancellation fee per person if you cancel. If you have split bookings (i.e. two PNRs) then if you cancel you have two bookings to cancel and hence two sets of cancellation fees per person.
