What happens under the nTP rules if you are downgraded say from a cash F/A fare to J and compensated the fare difference in cash? Would you get the original ticketed amount of nTP for the F booking or would it be recalculated down taking the fare difference cash compensation into account?
It's not an EC261 matter, and typically CEDR isn't keen on this area (but does take on unfairness behaviours). Overall I suspect BA's IT limitations goes in the customers' favour, particularly if there is a longwinded approach to getting reimbursement.
