Enough experiences of delays for a 90 minute flight…
risk of ATC issues because they’re not getting paid so some will call in sick.
standard issues with airport and rental car staff
so I prefer to drive 8-10 hours instead of flying a 90 or 60 minute flight.

we or rather I drove from sf to grants pass in one day and then drove from grants pass to Eugene to Portland to cannon beach on the second day.

on Thursday we will drive from San Francisco to somewhere in Pomona (after getting supper at Madonna inn in San Luis Obispo) so that we can see our son run for 20 minutes (ideally under 18 as standard) on Friday. Then we will drive from Pomona to San Luis Obispo to San Francisco on Saturday.
